A. Interview potential agents, like all things some are better than others

2. Do they quickly understand your needs and wants?
3. Do you feel comfortable with them?
4. Do you perceive their competence and value in the transaction?
5. View a couple properties before signing a contract to use them as your buyer’s agent
6. Do they seem rushed, do they return your calls & email promptly?
7. Do your homework!

C. Select properties to visit and review
1. Narrow your search and reset parameters as necessary
2. Keep a notebook with you with a copy of the listing and paper to make notes

A. Shop lenders / rates and terms (newspaper, internet, agent referral)
B. Be certain the loan official is competent

2. Ask for references and a copy of their license

D. Ask questions
